The rains set in after summer. The season lasts from June to August sometimes up to September.In this season the sky remains cloudy. Then it starts raining regularly with
occasional visits of lightning and thunder. All ponds, tanks, canals, rivers and low lying lands remain full of water. Roads get slushy and slippery in the village. The parts of cities and some streets of the town go under water.

A heavy rain brings the traffic of the town to a standstill. People wade through
the water and return home wet. During continuous rain people are put to troubles.
They cannot go out. Their work suffers. Heavy rainfall, however, causes floods.
They wash away the villages and towns bringing suffering to the people who lives there. Despite difficulties and disadvantages the season is very favourite to the poet, children and farmers. It is the time for cultivation of lands to produce paddy and other crops. Now nature washed in rain is fresh,clean and green.
