He was familiar with the Western art,
film and music. His works like 'Feluda', 'Prof Shanku', etc. amuse the young
and the old alike. He was a genius—a writer, musician, painter, director and what
not. He was an artist par excellence. He was honoured with different film
awards from different parts of the world. He won ‘Bharat Ratna and 'Oscar’-two
highest awards in national and international arena. We pay our hearty homage to
him. He left us on the 23rd April, '92 creating a void in the field of films.
